Quality Control

Image File Specifications

To achieve optimum quality prints ensure your image files are 300 dpi resolution at the size image you wish to print. 200-300 dpi is acceptable, but may not achieve optimum quality. Images should be created 100% to size. Images can be enlarged if sufficient resolution is provided.

File format should be one of the following: JPEG, TIFF or PSD. Recommended Color Space is Adobe RGB or sRGB.

If we have any questions regarding your image or image quality, we will contact you before printing. If you have any concerns regarding your image or how your image will look on metal, we suggest you order a sample pack before ordering the final print.

Color Management

To ensure high quality color calibration, we use the Eye-One system for both monitor and prints. If your monitor is not regularly calibrated, there may be a variation between the color of the image on your computer screen and the color on the metal print. The color on metal may be slightly different than the color on the computer screen.

Metal Print Disclaimer

Metal prints are printed on sheets of aluminum. The aluminum sheets have a coating applied. There may be small divots or bumps in the metal due to the manufacturing/fabrication of the metal or the process of applying the special coating to the metal.

We inspect the sheets carefully for imperfections. Where possible, we will not include these imperfections in the print. Where not possible, we will position the imperfection in the least obtrusive part of the image.

We cannot remake prints due to these imperfections. These are part of the normal manufacturing process.

Square corner prints are considered standard. These corners can be sharp and should be handled with care. When displaying square corner metal prints, make sure these prints are hung securely.

When moving or storing multiple metal prints, do not place the prints metal face-to-metal face.
